Last week, Fejesp (Junior Enterprise State Federation of Sao Paulo) was informed that its current President, Leonardo V. Zeferino, won a JCI TOYP Award - The Outstanding Young Person - Brazil 2008. The Award Ceremony will be today, November 10th at São Paulo City Hall.

JCI Brazil, with the support from JCI International, JCI Brazil / Japan and JCI Sao Paulo Brazil / China, promotes the annual program JCI TOYP Brazil 2008. The program TOYP Junior Chamber International Brazil recognises ten young people aged between 18 and 39 years as “best role” examples regarding the best attributes of young Brazilians.

Leonardo Zeferino won the prize in the category Academic Leader / Achievements by telling his story about the involvement with Junior Enterprises and their impact on linking academia and market. “I was surprised by this piece of news, because I am too young and I know many other people who would deserve this award,” admits Leonardo. “This achievement is one more proof of the power that the Junior Enterprise Movement have to impact on the country’s development [...]. It comes also as a crown over the job performed by Fejesp and its more than 1,300 junior entrepreneurs from all around the state,” he concludes.

Fejesp appreciates the commitment of its president and invites all junior entrepreneurs of the state and involved people to be part of the event.
